Privacy

Short, because there is little to say.

The tools on this site

They run in your browser. Files you drop are read by JavaScript in the page and never sent to us or anyone else. The only request a tool makes is for a font, when text needs one, or for the handwriting fonts when you type a signature (those requests name the font, not your text). The page itself also loads Cloudflare's analytics, below.

The field editor keeps the last few PDFs you open in it, with the boxes you place and the test values you type, in this browser's own storage, so it can reopen them where you left off. The password of a locked PDF is not kept. Forget, beside each one, removes it. Fill any PDF and Sign a PDF keep nothing once the tab is closed.

The one thing that sends a file anywhere is Save to my account in the field editor. It sends that PDF and its boxes to your pdfedge account as a template, by way of your dashboard at dash.pdfedge.com, where you sign in. The template is kept until you delete it.

The API

Files you send and results we make are stored to give you their URL, then deleted after 24 hours, or after 7, 30 or 365 days if you ask. You can delete any file sooner with DELETE /v1/files/{id}. Values you fill into forms and text we extract are not logged. Templates are kept until you delete them.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising.

Cloudflare, which serves the site, adds its Web Analytics script to each page, to count visits and measure how fast pages load. It records things like the page's address, the page you came from, your browser and device type, and your country. It sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites. What you do in a tool isn't part of it: your files, and what you type into them, stay in the page.

Who runs it

pdfedge is a house product of APIDirectory; API accounts, keys and billing are handled there.
